A few moments to learn Othello ... but to play enthusiastically for a lifetime. This classic strategy game for two players challenges you to outsmart your opponent. On an 8 × 8 board, the players alternately place black and white pieces, the sides of which are differently colored.

As a starting line-up, two white and two black stones are placed on the middle fields of the board, two diagonally opposite each other with the same color. One player (white) always places his stone with the white side up, the other (black) with the black side up.

A player must place his stone on an empty space that is horizontally, vertically or diagonally adjacent to an already occupied space. When a piece is placed, all opposing pieces between the new piece and a piece of your own color that have already been placed are turned over. But be careful, your opponent is trying to do the same to you.

The aim of the game is to have as many pieces of your own color as possible on the board at the end. The winner can be determined in this classic, fast-paced strategy game, which is often only decided on the last move.
