How to Play

• Deal the Cards: Give each player their starting hand and place the remaining cards face down as the draw pile. 
• Start the Discard Pile: Turn over the top card from the draw pile to begin the discard pile. 
• Match the Top Card: On your turn, play a card that matches the top discard card by color, number, or action symbol. 
• Draw When You Cannot Play: If you do not have a playable card, draw a card from the draw pile. 
• Skip Card: The next player loses their turn. 
• Reverse Card: Changes the direction of play. In a two-player game, it works like a Skip card and lets you play again. 
• Draw 2 Card: The next player draws 2 cards and loses their turn. 
• Wild Card: Allows you to choose the color that continues the game. 
• Wild Draw 4: Allows you to choose the next color while the next player draws 4 cards and loses their turn. 
• Special Creeper Rule: The Minecraft edition includes a special Creeper card that adds an extra draw-card challenge to the game. 
• Call “UNO!”: When you have only one card remaining, you must call out “UNO!” 
• Win the Round: The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round. 

Wild Draw 4 Challenge

• A player may challenge a Wild Draw 4 if they believe it was played illegally. 
• The challenged player must show their hand to verify whether the card was legally played. 
• If the Wild Draw 4 was played legally, the challenger draws the original 4 cards plus 2 additional penalty cards. 
• If it was played illegally, the player who used the Wild Draw 4 receives the required penalty instead. 

Two-Player Rules

• A Reverse Card works like a Skip card, allowing you to immediately play again. 
• A Skip Card also allows you to immediately take another turn. 
• After playing a Draw 2 or Wild Draw 4, your opponent draws the required cards and the turn returns to you. 

Partner Mode – 4 Players

• Players form two teams, with partners sitting opposite each other. 
• The hand ends when one player gets rid of all their cards. 
• Points from the cards remaining in both opposing players’ hands are counted toward the winning team. 

Tournament Play

• Players can rotate partners across multiple hands or tables. 
• One example is playing 12 hands with 4 players, rotating partnerships throughout the games. 
• With 8 players, two separate tables can be used, with players rotating between games. 
• The accumulated results can be used to determine the overall tournament winner. 

Standard Scoring

• The first player to reach 500 points can be declared the winner. 
• Another scoring method is to keep a running total of the points remaining in each player’s hand after every round. 
• When a player reaches 500 points under this method, the player with the lowest total score wins. 

Challenge UNO Mode

• Players keep a running total based on the cards remaining in their hands. 
• A predetermined score limit is selected before play begins. 
• When a player reaches that limit, they are eliminated. 
• Play continues until only two players remain. 
• The final two players compete head-to-head. 
• The winner of the final hand wins the game.
