The SNZB-01M Orb features four physical buttons, each capable of recognizing single, double, triple, and long presses. This unique functionality allows for up to 16 distinct triggers from this single, small device, enabling you to create and activate a wide array of custom scenes like Movie Night, Sleep, or Away from Home. It operates on the reliable Zigbee 3.0 protocol (IEEE 802.15.4) for robust smart home integration, but also offers an eWeLink-Remote mode for direct pairing with compatible devices without the need for a Zigbee gateway. The communication range extends up to 130 meters in open field conditions, ensuring broad coverage.

Powering the SONOFF Orb is a 3V CR2477 battery, which is included and provides exceptional longevity. Under lab conditions with 50 presses per day, expect at least 4 years of battery life in Zigbee mode and over 2 years in eWeLink-Remote mode. For Zigbee functionality, a Zigbee controller is required unless you utilize the eWeLink-Remote mode. The device supports TouchLink for direct pairing with Zigbee lights from brands like Philips Hue or IKEA. While compatible with platforms like Home Assistant (via Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA with a community script) and Apple Home via Matter Bridge, please note that SmartThings Hub V3 and AeoTec Smart Home Hub V3 support a maximum of 12 out of the 16 scenes. There is currently no known official or community app support for Homey.

The SONOFF SNZB-01M Orb is designed for indoor use and offers flexible mounting solutions including magnetic, adhesive tape, and screws, all without causing permanent damage to your walls. Scenes are intelligently preserved when switching between Zigbee and eWeLink-Remote modes, only being lost upon a factory reset or removal from the eWeLink app. This ensures your automations remain intact. The package includes the SONOFF Orb 4-In-1 button (SNZB-01M), a square mounting base, two standard mounting screws, VHB adhesive tape, a CR2477 battery, and an installation guide, providing everything you need for a quick and easy setup.
