It has a creamy thick texture, no strong smell. the volume is 6v which is used for refreshing or toning hair color, it doesnt lighten hair color. i use it for dying my hair a little darker than my natural, i also used it to tone hair color to a cooler shade (to be mixed with appriopriate hair dye of course). the brand is made in Spain
