• Americans launch one million new businesses annually, and about 80% of them fail within the first five years. Under such pressure to survive – let alone grow – it can be easy for entrepreneurs to get stuck in a never-ending cycle of “sell this and do this, sell this and do this” that leads to burnout, frustration, and an inability to move forward no matter how hard they try.
• This was the situation Mike Michalowicz found himself in while trying to grow his first company, and even though it was making a regular income, there was never much left of him and he went on chasing clients everywhere doing his best 28 hours a day over 8 days a week. The hard work never stopped, and though his company was alive, it was lagging behind and barely breathing, and that's when he discovered an unconventional source of inspiration in the pumpkin growers.
