Shea butter is an oil/butter extracted from the seed of the African karite tree, Butyrospermum parkii, which grows wild on the savannahs of West and Central Africa. Shea butter is commonly used to alleviate dry skin, itching, and scarring, as well as to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Historically, shea butter has also been used as a substitute for dairy butter in recipes.

This oil/butter is extracted from the seed of the African karite tree that grows wild on the savannahs of West and Central Africa. Produced by a women’s cooperative in Ghana to help bring economic stability to the villages, it’s cold-processed and unfiltered so that it retains all of its inherent beneficial properties to beautify and protect your skin.
